TEDxUniversityofNevada’s mission is to share “Big Ideas Worth Spreading” in a way that shows the world, and more importantly Renoites, the vast potential and brilliance that exists in this dynamic, evolving community nicknamed “The Biggest Little City”. Our 3rd annual event is coming up on January 23, 2015, and we’re excited to announce the launch of a photo contest to not only promote awareness of the event and showcase our community, but to offer one lucky person the chance to receive a free ticket to the TEDxUniversityofNevada’s 2015 event!
To enter the contest, simply take a picture of your favorite “Biggest Little City” moment and post the photo to Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram. To qualify for the contest, please include one line detailing what you love about the moment along with the hashtag #TEDxUNR.
So get out there, explore Reno, and share your love for the area and excitement for the next TEDxUniversityofNevada event!
Submit your photos with a caption to Instagram, Twitter or the TEDxUniversityofNevada Facebook page using the #TEDxUNR hashtag between now and Monday, November 24th, 2014. Each photo submission is one entry to the contest, so the more photos you submit the more chances you have to win.
The winner will be selected at random, and will be announced via TEDxUniversityofNevada’s social media channels on Friday, November 28th. The winner will receive one free ticket to attend the 2015 event.
The contest is open to anyone in Northern Nevada or anyone from outside of Northern Nevada willing to travel to attend the event; however, qualifying entries must be original pictures taken in Reno by participants.
Contest Terms and Conditions:
Participants acknowledge that any pictures submitted for the contest may be reshared via TEDxUniversityofNevada’s social media channels to help promote the contest.
Each entrant must release Facebook of any liability. You must acknowledge that the contest it is no way associated with Facebook. Participants must know and acknowledge that any information given for the contest is given to TEDxUniversityofNevada, not Facebook. We will not be able to notify winners through Facebook–instead we will email you.
The ticket cannot be sold by any means. If the winner will not use the ticket, then their entry is forfeited and a different winner will be picked.
