Whether it was working in news, public relations, or now government affairs, Alexandria has shared stories and made a difference in her home state.
The Las Vegas Native moved to Reno in 2011 where she joined the NBC affiliate, KRNV News 4, a year later. Alex began her news career as a morning video editor, and quickly moved up the ranks on the morning show as an associate producer then reporter, where she continued to be a staple of the News 4 Today team. Alex covered a wide range of stories from nonprofit fundraising events to the 2017 presidential election and the drought saving winter in northern Nevada. She continued to tell stories in her public relations role, and looks forward to making change in the state of Nevada as a Government Affairs Coordinator at Lewis Rocca Rothgerber Christie.
Alex has a B.A. in Broadcast Journalism from the University of Nevada, which she earned while maintaining her role as the first recipient of the Nevada Broadcasters Association’s Tony and Linda Bonnici Broadcasting Scholarship.
As a young journalist, storyteller and adventurer, Alex has a passion for learning more about people and their communities. In her spare time, Alex operates the news blog she co-founded, volunteers with various area nonprofit organizations, is an advocate for the deaf and hard of hearing community and adds a little bit of glitter to whatever project she’s crafting.
