Amanda Burden is editor and publisher of edible Reno-Tahoe magazine, which she created in spring 2010. The purpose of edible Reno-Tahoe is to transform the way consumers shop for, cook, eat, and relate to local food and drink. Through its five printed publications per year, website, social media, and events, edible Reno-Tahoe connects people to local growers, retailers, chefs, and food artisans, enabling those relationships to grow and thrive in a beneficial, healthful, and economically viable way.
This venture allows Amanda to combine all of her passions: her love of food, publishing, community, local business, and for making a difference. She is thrilled about creating a magazine with a mission. She particularly enjoys telling the many fascinating stories about Reno’s, Lake Tahoe’s, and the surrounding area’s vibrant food and drink culture.
