Thank you for your interest in TEDxUniversityofNevada 2020! We want to learn more about what you can contribute to the event and hope that you will consider submitting a proposal to share your “big idea worth spreading.” We expect to receive a lot of proposals, so plan to apply early to have the best chance of being selected in this very competitive process. Our call for proposals will close August 5, 2019. Please read and carefully consider all the information about our event listed below. After you have read this information, complete the speaker submission form.
Please be aware that the submission form will require you to provide a link to a video of you speaking. If you don’t already have such a video, create a 2-minute demo, upload it to Youtube, and provide us the link. Your submission will be considered complete when we have both the information about your proposed talk and the link to your short demo video.
Our event will strive to re-create the unique experience found at TED, where the world’s leading thinkers gather to share ideas with the hope of changing attitudes, lives, and ultimately the world. Our purpose is to engage the leading thinkers and doers from our area and from across the nation to create conversations about how to enhance our local communities. We are looking for entertainers, business leaders, community members, students, and educators with a passion for a unique and meaningful idea worth spreading. To be clear, we are NOT looking for motivational speakers.
Our conference will be held Saturday, February 29, 2020, at the Reno-Sparks Convention Center from approximately 8am to 4:30 pm. If you are accepted to speak at our conference, you will be expected to commit to engaging with our attendees and speakers for the entire day of the conference. Our team of organizers is dedicated to making this event a success for our community, which means we will be dedicated to helping each of our invited speakers deliver a remarkable presentation. Thank you for your consideration and we look forward to hearing from you soon.
