Dr. Anjala Krishen has a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Rice University, and an M.S. Marketing, MBA, and Ph.D. from Virginia Tech. She worked full-time for 13 years in companies including Oracle Corporation, American Electric Power, and Enerwise Global Technologies. Beginning in fall of 2007, she joined University of Nevada, Las Vegas, where she recently became an Associate Professor of Marketing & International Business in the Lee Business School.
Her interdisciplinary research interests include areas within decision making in rich environments, including heuristics and choice set design, e-marketing and social networking, and database marketing. As of 2015, she has over 30 published peer reviewed journal papers, and a co-authored book titled, “The Dichotomy Heuristic in Choice: How Contrast Makes Decisions Easier.”
