Brian Williams

Brian Williams is a youth motivational speaker. He’s taken the stage in over 200 schools around the country challenging hundreds of thousands of youth to ’15 Days of Kindness’. He instigates school rivalries into a competition of who can make the biggest difference in the world. . . all resulting in massive waves of Kindness. He has been featured on MTV, MTV2, NBC, USA Today and ESPN, he’s raised over $100,000 for charities around the country, produced two award winning humanitarian documentaries, and has documented over 250,000 acts of Kindness throughout the country. But his story leading up to this is rather unique.

During his Sophmore year in college he was part of a team that was ranked as the top Integrated Marketing and Advertising Students in the Country. Rather than just departing the awards banquet with a nice trophy from the American Advertising Federation, he passed out his slim resume and within weeks got a job offer in Los Angeles. Despite the fact that he’d never received a degree, he went onto executive level management positions in the fitness industry overseeing 125 employee’s, became the marketing director for the largest commodities brokerage firm in Los Angeles, and opened a successful martial arts school. . . all before the age of 24.

However, he didn’t stop there. He wanted to find away to make a big impact in the world. He wasn’t fond of the suit & tie jobs, living away from his family, and feeling like his job was just that. . . a job. During a conversation with his martial arts instructor a simple question floated through the line, ”What would be the impact if you could document over 1,000,000 acts of Kindness and place them in a glass case and show them to the world?” He let the idea sit for months and soon built up the courage to pursue it full time. He moved back home to Reno, googled “How to start a non-profit”, wrote a business plan, enrolled back in school, and quickly got a job managing a group home for at-risk teens. Within a year Think Kindness was born with mission of inspiring measurable acts of Kindness in schools and communities around the country.
