Lauren Ford has been in education for over 20 years, in both the classroom and Administratively. She began her career in Chicago as a Kindergarten teacher, then became Assistant Principal and principal. In 2005 she moved to Washoe County as Assistant Principal at Traner Middle school, then Principal there in 2006. In 2011 she assumed her current role as Principal of Hug High School. Lauren knew from an early age she wanted to be in Education. She comes from a long line of Teachers and Administrators in her family and was encouraged early on that she had the leadership skills to do great things in education. Lauren owes much of her knowledge and passion to her mentor Loretta Gustello. She loves her students and wants them to rise above their circumstances to not only graduate High School, but truly succeed beyond their dreams.
