Leah Ochs is a STEM professional working in the Aviation and Aerospace industry as a Manufacturing Engineer.
An aviation enthusiast, Leah holds a private pilot license and currently resides on the Board of Directors for the Reno High Sierra Ninety-Nines. Through the Ninety-Nines, a nonprofit of women pilots, Leah helps raise money for local flying scholarships and works to build the local general aviation community. Leah also sits on the Board of Trustees for Pathways to Aviation, working to build the next-generation workforce in the aviation and aerospace industries.
In the education realm, Leah is a strong advocate for STEM education, speaking in K-12 classrooms and participating in educational outreach events. In 2018, Leah founded the nonprofit Gearing Up 4 STEM. Gearing Up 4 STEM works to create easily accessible resources for STEM educators in Northern Nevada.
Leah is a graduate of the University of Nevada, Reno with a Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering and a Master’s in Business Administration.
