Jake is a seventh generation northern Nevadan studying Electrical Engineering in his 3rd year at the University of Nevada. His love for both northern Nevada and the university has driven him to participate heavily in activities that make a difference on campus and in the community. Having started in ASUN as an intern for the Department of Programming and later becoming an Event Programmer, Jake has heavy experience in planning and programming large-scale university and community events, some of which include March from the Arch and Reno’s first “Biggest Little Festival.” His passion for community outreach led Jake to become the ASUN Vice President, where he currently coordinates and oversees many major community projects for the association. Jake’s experiences does not end within ASUN, however, he has had experiences both at the university level and within the real world. Jake is extremely excited to be a part of this year’s TEDx team and plans to use his many past experiences to make this year’s TEDx event bigger and better than ever before!
